Mike Simmo

Mike Simmo is a contemporary poet currently based in London, UK, but originally born and raised on the small, Celtic, ocean-washed, island of the Isle of Man. Drawn to the big questions of life from an early age and exposed to a wild, nature-filled, and academic upbringing, his debut collection acts as a recorded inner transcript of his own journey from his small island out into the world.

Inspired by the likes of Herman Hesse, Rumi, Aldous Huxley, Terence Mckenna, Alan Watts, Ram Dass, Paramahansa Yogananda, Mike Kewley, Zahir Khan and Steve Taylor and spending significant time in natural wilderness, in football teams, in the events industry, and seeking out a spiritual arc with Krishna Monks, Mindfulness Groups and a Sufi Mystic, Mike Simmo shares in hyper-focused detail the journey of his 20s; from the spiritual seeking, to sobering up, to coming back home to the simple divine ordinariness of every-day life.
